What Ask Sofi cannot do

Honesty matters. Ask Sofi works best on digital PDFs — documents created on a computer. Scanned PDFs (photos of paper) are harder to edit because the text is stored as an image rather than actual characters. For scanned documents, try the OCR PDF tool first to make the text readable, then use Ask Sofi to edit.

Ask Sofi also cannot redesign layouts, change fonts, or move elements around the page. It edits text content only.

The limits

Ask Sofi is completely free with no account required. There are three limits to keep the service sustainable:

• 25MB maximum file size
• Files deleted after 1 hour for privacy
